The key projects we are currently involved with are at two local secondary schools in Badenoch & Strathspey - in the Cairngorms National Park.
Local schools
- First Year Students - This year, we have helped 90 first years students establish friendships quickly and easily when starting secondary school, an important issue highlighted through consultation with 1st year pupils.
- Fifth Year Students – We have worked with over 70 fifth year students during the last four months exploring teamworking skills to enable more effective working relationships whilst at school, and to build confidence in new situations outside school.
- Pupils Forum – eXtend has supported 24 students from a Pupil Forum clarify objectives, gain skills and develop tactics in order to complete school improvement projects successfully.
- Staff Training – We have worked with 58 staff to help review team performance and to support them in developing a clear vision for the future of the school.
- Duke of Edinburgh- we have worked with Third year students who are undertaking outdoor expeditions to develop personal relationships and to explore their team dynamics. We have worked with them after their trips to review team performance and learn lessons for future team involvement.’
